Yes. The Academy School is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our tax ID is 47-1433197. You'll receive an emailed receipt as soon as your gift is processed, and a summary of your total giving each January for your tax records. If you receive something of value in exchange for a gift, as at an auction, your receipt will note the portion that is deductible.

Tuition covers the cost of running the school day. It does not cover everything we want to be able to do. The Annual Fund is the difference, and it raises about $150,000 a year from parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, and friends of the school.

Often, yes. Gifts of goods or professional services can be genuinely useful, and they're tax-deductible on the same terms as cash. Because storage and staff time are real costs, we ask you to check with us before sending anything. Email admin@theacademyschool.org with what you have in mind.

Yes. There's a note field on the giving form where you can name the person and tell us who to notify. We'll send a card letting them (or their family) know a gift was made in their name. We never disclose the amount.
