Admissions

We're so glad you're considering The Academy. Our admissions process is designed to help us get to know your child and your family, and to help you get to know us. Here's what to expect.

1. Inquire
Start by telling us a little about your family and your child. It takes just a couple of minutes, and it's the first step toward joining our community.

2. Apply
Complete the application. You'll share information about your child, your family, and what brings you to The Academy. When you're finished, you'll be invited into your family portal, where you can track your application and everything that comes next.

3. Meet with us
Every family sits down with us one-on-one. This is your time to ask questions, tell us about your child, and get a feel for whether The Academy is the right home for your family.

4. Your child visits
Students entering grades 2–8 spend a day shadowing in a classroom, so they can experience The Academy firsthand. Children entering kindergarten and first grade come for a warm get-to-know-you visit with our teachers. Student visits begin in January.

5. Letters of recommendation
We'll reach out to your child's current school directly for a recommendation, so there's nothing you need to do here. Just let us know who to contact and their email when you apply.

6. Financial aid (optional)
The Academy is committed to making our education accessible. We use School and Student Services (SSS) for financial aid applications. Applying is confidential and has no bearing on your child's admission decision.

Annual Tuition for the 2026-2027 School Year: $33,699 (Lower School), $38,748 (Upper School)

Tuition includes all classroom materials and books. There will be an additional fee for field trips, which are an important part of our curriculum. For K-5th the fee will be $300 and for 6th-8th $600. These fees will enable the school to provide commercial transportation when the numbers and distances involved justify the expense. Additionally, the school purchases all school supplies and materials for each student and charges a $200 fee annually.

Tuition is paid through Blackbaud Tuition Management (Formerly Smart Tuition)

To apply, start in the SSS Family Portal:

Once you're in the portal:

1. Create an SSS account, or log in to an existing one

2. Select The Academy School when prompted

3. Complete the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) for the current application year

4. Upload any required supporting documents

You won't need a special school code to begin. If you're applying to more than one school, a single SSS application can be sent to multiple institutions.

Deadlines
Current families: submit by mid-January.
Prospective families: submit before the application deadline, January 23rd.
