  • Physical Education Overview

The upper school program is designed to provide a diversified curriculum that aims to positively affect each student’s self-image and confidence as he/she develops coordination and athletic skills. Students are given the opportunity to reach their full athletic potential in an environment committed to: good sportsmanship, promoting positive communication, instilling a strong work ethic and encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle while fostering a love for sport and physical fitness. Students complete fitness tests assessing speed, endurance, agility and core strength. Students will learn basic rules of sports such as soccer, field hockey, basketball, volleyball, team handball, etc. Basic fundamental and tactical skills are taught and practiced through scrimmage play. Popular physical education games such as dodgeball, tag, wall-ball, kickball, and capture-the-flag are also implemented throughout the year.
