Kim Rankin

Music
Kim Rankin received her training in piano, voice, and conducting at Duke University (undergraduate) and U.C. Berkeley (graduate). Ms. Rankin has conducted choirs for the San Francisco Girls Chorus, the Pacific Boychoir Academy, and U.C. Berkeley, as well as community and church choirs around the Bay Area.  A lifelong pianist, Ms. Rankin also plays organ, harpsichord, guitar, ukulele, recorder, and dulcimer.  She is a veteran of local musical theater pits and opera orchestras, including many years in the cast of "The Bracebridge Dinner" in Yosemite National Park.  In addition to her work at The Academy, Ms. Rankin serves as the Music Director at Montclair Presbyterian Church in Oakland.  She is devoted to her husband and son, and loves to spend as much time as possible with them hiking and biking in the beautiful California outdoors.
