Skyla Cameron

Skyla Cameron holds a B.S. in Zoology from the University of New Hampshire. She began her career teaching preschool through high school students about marine ecology at Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut, introducing them to live animals and outdoor experiences. Following this position, Ms. Cameron spent three months pursuing intensive behavioral field research on Black & White Ruffed Lemurs and as a Reforestation Technician in Madagascar. Upon returning to the States, she worked as a Naturalist Educator for the Coneho Valley Unified School District, teaching students about the local environment and ecology. Ms. Cameron then continued her field work as a Shorebird Biologist in Martha’s Vineyard, collecting breeding season data to support the conservation of protected shorebirds. Most recently, Ms. Cameron taught biology to high school students as a long-term substitute.  She believes science is all around us, and wants her students to discover and learn through hands-on lessons.
